Urban Graphics are happy to announce we have won a long term commission to support the South East Midlands Local Enterprise Partnership (SEMLEP), reforming our link with the initial Milton Keynes / South Midlands strategy.
SEMLEP aims to create strong, sustainable and balanced growth across the UK’s South East Midlands region. Working with businesses, government and wider stakeholders, their role is to unlock barriers to growth and accelerate economic performance.
Bally Meeda Director of Urban Graphics was asked to speak at the Mark Rutherford School Business Partnership meeting. His talk consisted of mentoring and advising students about the wonderful world of design.
His encouragement and enthusiasm had the students energized and excited about design careers!
A £1bn regeneration scheme for two shopping centres in Croydon has been approved by the local council.
Bringing with it 5,000 jobs, the scheme now awaits the approval of the London mayor’s office.
Detailed designs for the Whitgift and Centrale shopping centres scheme will be unveiled next year and building work could begin in 2015. Part of the plans include a skills centre in the hope that many of the jobs would go to local people. The scheme would see retail, leisure facilities and restaurants open and 600 new residential units built.
